This short film documents the artists' journey as they transform the Sarai script into a multi-disciplinary piece of theatre, music and dance for the stage.

PRODUCE a film that documents the artists' individual journey during the R&D as they awaken Sarai and lift her epic journey off the printed page and into the theatre space. 

SYNOPSIS 

ONE WOMAN's EPIC JOURNEY

Sarai, the wife of Abraham the patriarch, has been promised prophetically that she will be the Mother of a new nation whose sovereignty will be established upon an old land. The deconstruction of this epic narrative pays homage to the courage and wisdom of this most extraordinary woman as we observe her contending with famine, civil war, love, disease and barrenness to establish her new nation. 

CONSULTANCY

PURPOSE OF THE FILM

Integral to the R&D process was the professional and personal development of the actor, musicians and creative team as they embarked on the collaborative journey to breath life into the character Sarai. Our role was to capture the personal insights generated by the creative process in the act of creating a piece of theatre and document the artists' personal responses to the themes and messages woven into the writing.
