The Hero Inside Programme was devised in 2010 by the Creative Director Trevor Blackwood. The programme is a holistic approach to exploring a person's inner potential. The bespoke programme focuses on developing well-being through self-awareness, exploring the notion of identity and promoting cultural understanding within diverse groups.
Each programme is specifically designed to address key objectives of the client and are delivered in three stages in collaboration with professional artists and arts organisations.
Past programmes have ended with a pubic exhibition, providing participants with multi-media platform to exhibit their creativity alongside the professional artists who have inspired their journey of self-discovery through the arts.

The Hero Inside Programme in Abu Dhabi focused on Arabic storytelling, critical thinking and collaborative learning. Participants were inspired to tell positive stories from a cultural and moral perspective. SMART technology was integrated to link to Abu Dhabi Festival theme Creative Innovation.
The two-month arts initiative devised by Trevor Blackwood of Nomad Creative Consultancy and commissioned by Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF). It was delivered in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Media and entertainment hub twofour54, tadreeb.
A public multi-media exhibition during the Abu Dhabi Festival showcased the creative achievements of the participants alongside professional artists.

The Hero Inside Programme: London was commissioned by Southwark Leadership, Innovation and Learning Department. The Borough of Southwark is an ethnically, linguistically and culturally diverse with over 45% African descent students. The programme had to address barriers to learning, close the achievement gap in Literacy and engage parents.
The Hero Inside Programme that was developed was led from a Black perspective and creatively engaged all cultural groups to address Southwark's long term objectives. Positive cultural role models and artists were integrated into the programme to inspire creative writing, story telling and enhance personal well-being.
The programme culminated in a public exhibition at the Menier Gallery showcasing the creative achievements of the six participating schools alongside a rare collection of African American comics including the inspirational historical comic book series 'The Golden Legacy'.
The Hero Inside Programme: London was showcased at the following conferences: DCSF National Strategies, Southwark Inclusion and at the Capita Community Cohesion Conference in London. It was a leading example of an innovative creative arts learning programme, engaging audiences and enhancing respect and understanding among diverse communities.
